Avocado Montessori Academy was created from a simple belief: children thrive when they are trusted, respected, and given meaningful opportunities to do things for themselves. Across our Bellevue and Kirkland campuses, we bring together authentic Montessori practice, thoughtful English and Chinese language support, and a caring community that sees every child as capable.

How We Began
The idea for Avocado Montessori Academy began in 2020 with a vision to bring thoughtful, high-quality education to more families by combining authentic Montessori principles with meaningful Chinese language learning.
In 2021, that vision became a reality with the opening of our first Bellevue campus at Building 1853. Over the following years, our community grew steadily—from 1853 to our second building at 11409, and later to our third location at 1844. Each new space was shaped by the experience, trust, and relationships we built together with our children, families, and educators.
In 2024, we opened our Kirkland campus, extending the Avocado community to serve more families while continuing our commitment to respectful, child-centered, high-quality Montessori education.
